Login – Troubleshooting Reinhardt Login Issues

Username / Default Password Format

Students

  • Username Format – lastnamestudentid@students.reinhardt.edu
  • Default Password Format – Birthday in the 8 digit format MMDDYYYY
For EagleWeb – Reinhardt ID number
Password – No Standard

Employee

  • Username Format – 3 character first initial, middle initial, and last initial + (possibly a digit)
    • Example – If your caller is named Bethany Renee Smith, her username would be brs. If there are more that one user with the same three letters, a number will be added to the end. brs1
  • Default Password Format – No Standard
For EagleWeb – Reinhardt ID number
Password – No Standard

Account Creation Timeline

Students

  • All student accounts are created within 24 hours of the Registrar approving their enrollment

Employee

  • All employee accounts are created within 24 hours of IT receiving HR paperwork

Self Help Forgot Password / Reset Tool & Username

Students

a) For EagleWeb Password Reset

  1. Go to EagleWeb
  2. Enter the ID# in the username field,
  3. Click on “I forgot my password” link and follow further steps
  4. Password will be sent to student’s e-mail address, which will be their Reinhardt e-mail address for registered students or their personal e-mail address on file for candidates.

Employee / Staff / Faculty

a) For EagleWeb Password Reset

  1. Go to EagleWeb
  2. Enter the ID# in the username field,
  3. Click on “I forgot my password” link and follow further steps
  4. Password will be sent to student’s e-mail address, which will be their Reinhardt e-mail address for registered employees or their personal e-mail address on file for candidates.

Self Help Password Change (user knows current password)

Students

For EagleWeb

  1. Login to EagleWeb
  2. Click on the ‘Personal Info
  3. Select ‘Password
  4. Enter ‘Old Password’ then enter ‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm New Password’ and click ‘Save’.

For O365

  1. Login to “portal.office.com
  2. Click at the very top right of the screen where you see your name to open a menu
  3. Click “My Account” to open another page with account options
  4. Click on ‘Security & Privacy‘ from the left panel
  5. On the main screen, click on “Change Password

For Active Directory
Students can change their active directory password at any campus computer in computer lab or in the library by following these steps:

  1. Once they logged in, Suggest them to hit CTRL + ALT + DEL and they can change their password by clicking “Change Password”
  2. If user does not know their current Active Directory password or there is any issue changing it, create and escalate a ticket.

Employee

For EagleWeb

  1. Login to EagleWeb
  2. Click on the ‘Personal Info
  3. Select ‘Password
  4. Enter ‘Old Password’ then enter ‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm New Password’ and click ‘Save’.

For Active Directory

Employees can change their active directory password at any campus computer in computer lab or in the library by following these steps:
  1. Once they logged in, Suggest them to hit CTRL + ALT + DEL and they can change their password by clicking “Change Password”
