Skype for Business – Remove Cached Credentials


Old user credentials for Microsoft Skype for Business can sometimes become cached and prevent new logins to the Skype interface.  The symptom is generally a repeating request for the user password.

How to Address the Issue

Open the Skype for Business client. Sign out of Skype – Click on the status drop down menu and select “Sign Out” (circled in red in the example below).

Delete your cached credentials – Click “Delete my sign-in info” (circled in red below).

Sign back into Skype – Enter your Sign-in address. Then click the “Sign In” button.

Enter your password and click “Sign In”.
